Winners Announced During Film Festival
- Video files for all projects submitted to the festival must be via direct digital upload or by providing either a Vimeo or YouTube link entered directly on the application
- It is the sole responsibility of the applicant to ensure that any project submitted to the festival is viewable in its entirety
- In the event that the applicant has an updated version of the project after having submitted a previous version of the project to the festival, you may re-submit until the deadline
- It is the sole responsibility of the applicant to secure authorization and permission from the copyright owner(s) of any and all copyrighted content or materials included within the submitted project
- It is the sole responsibility of the applicant to secure authorization and permission from the owner(s) of any and all trademarked content or materials included within the submitted project
- Applicants submitting projects that contain significant non-English spoken dialogue must provide on-screen English subtitles
- Applicants can only submit one project for consideration
- Any application received after June 15 will not be considered*

A competitive section for nonfiction vlogs directed by and/or both written and produced by persons of African descent. An original Vlog video created around the concept of travel, attractions, and tourism of the African Diaspora.
A competitive section for nonfiction feature films directed by or about persons of African descent. A subject-focused film that presents an authentic exploration of a topic, person, place, or theme, just as feature documentaries do.
A competitive section showcases compelling narratives that delve into the multifaceted experiences of the African diaspora, both written and produced by persons of African descent. An original motion picture that has a running time of 40 minutes or less, including all credits.
A competitive section for short-form episodic series directed by and/or both written and produced by persons of African descent. A group of programs created or adapted for television or the web broadcast with a common series title, related to Black history or Black travel history.
